Chrysler Repair ServicesDependable vehicle repair on the west side of Sioux Falls. ChryslerChrysler is currently a subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (an Italian American manufacturer). In the USA, Chrysler is still considered one of the 'Big 3' car manufacturers. A machinist, Walter P. Chrysler founded the company in 1925. In 1928 Chrysler expanded with the Dodge, DeSoto and Plymouth brands. Dodge and Plymouth were the lower end of the corporation's vehicle line, which actually helped them survive the depression by keeping sales going with the cheaper models. Through the 40s and 50s Chrysler kept growing, owing its success to great products like the Hemi V-8 engine, a marked improvement in horsepower. The 70s were difficult times for Chrysler, and they obtained a $1.5 billion loan from the US government to stave off bankruptcy. However, because of the K-car line and a new minivan line, Chrysler fought its way back under the leadership of Lee Iacocca. Chrysler then bought AMC (including the iconic Jeep) and also began a relationship with Mitsubishi. In the 90s Chrysler merged with Daimler-Benz of Germany, although it was dissolved in 2007. Chrysler did finally declare bankruptcy because of an American recession, and eventually was bought by Fiat. At present, Chrysler only produces a few sedan models, a minivan, and a convertible.
